License Agreement
Last updated 29 September 2026 (Version 1.8)
This is the end user license agreement for Auto Camera Switcher, the plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro. The copy that applies to you is the one that shipped inside your build of the plugin, which you can open from the bottom of its panel at any time. This page publishes the same text so you can read it before you buy.
The privacy policy covers data, and the business details page identifies the business.
1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between you (“you”, the person or company using the software) and Yinon Sofer, a sole trader established in Cyprus, of Tala 8577, Paphos, Cyprus (“we”, “us”).
“the Software” means the Auto Camera Switcher plugin for Adobe Premiere Pro, including any updates we provide.
By installing or using the Software you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install the Software.
2. What you are allowed to do
While your subscription is active, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on up to two computers you own or control at any one time, for your own editing work, commercial work included.
A license is for one person. It is not a site license and it is not shared between people. If you replace a computer, write to us and we will free up the slot.
3. What you are not allowed to do
You may not:
- share, resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software or your license key;
- use one license key to serve several people;
- remove or alter any copyright, license or attribution notice;
- attempt to defeat the license check, or help anyone else to.
You may inspect the Software. It is largely JavaScript and we are not pretending otherwise. What is prohibited is redistribution and circumvention, not curiosity.
4. Subscription, payment and what happens when payment fails
The Software is licensed on a subscription. Prices and billing periods are those shown at the point of purchase.
If a payment fails, the Software keeps working for 14 days and shows a notice telling you so. This is deliberate: a failed card should not stop you mid-edit. After 14 days the Software stops working until payment succeeds.
If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it.
If you are a consumer in the EU, the law may give you a right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase. Whether or not it applies to you, we offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. To use either, email us at hello@sofer.studio.
5. What the Software does to your project, read this one
The Software edits your Adobe Premiere sequence. It cuts your camera tracks and disables clips so that the speaking camera is the one left visible.
Before it makes any change, it saves a backup copy of your sequence. That copy is your safety net and it is your responsibility to keep it until you are satisfied with the result. Premiere’s own undo works one cut at a time, which on a long edit is not a practical way back.
The Software decides who is speaking by measuring which microphone is loudest. It is not perfect and we do not claim it is. Overlapping speech, bleed between microphones, background noise, unusual microphone placement and similar-sounding voices can all produce a cut on the wrong person. The result is a starting point for an editor to review, not a finished edit.
You are responsible for checking the output before you deliver it to anybody. Do not deliver an edit produced by the Software without watching it.
6. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
In particular we do not warrant that:
- the Software will identify the correct speaker in every case, or produce an edit that meets your expectations;
- it will run without interruption or error, or work with every version of Adobe Premiere, every operating system, or every kind of footage;
- it is fit for any particular purpose or deadline.
Nothing in this section affects rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for lost profits, lost work, lost or corrupted data, missed deadlines, or any indirect or consequential loss.
We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
8. Your data
The Software analyses your audio entirely on your own computer. It does not upload your footage, your audio, or your project to us or to anyone else.
To check that your license is valid, the Software sends your license key when you press Check, and again each time its panel opens. The request carries the key and nothing else about you.
- Keys that begin with ACS- go to our own license server at license.sofer.studio. It knows which subscription each key belongs to and whether that subscription is active, which it learns from FastSpring, the payment provider that sells those keys. It holds no name and no email address.
- Keys bought through Gumroad go directly to Gumroad.
The Software does not ask for your email address. The answer to a license check is cached on your own computer, so the Software keeps working while you are offline.
Each time its panel opens, the Software also asks sofer.studiowhether a newer version exists. That request carries only the Software’s version number and whether your computer runs macOS or Windows. If you installed the Software from our website and choose to install an update, it downloads from GitHub. Copies installed through Adobe Exchange are updated through the Creative Cloud app instead.
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy.
9. Other people’s software inside ours
The Software includes third-party components under their own licenses, whose full texts ship inside the plugin:
- FFmpeg, LGPL v2.1 or later. Used unmodified, as a separate process, to decode audio. License text:
licenses/ffmpeg/. - Audiowide, SIL Open Font License 1.1. License text:
fonts/OFL.txt.
Those licenses govern those components. Nothing in this agreement restricts any right you have under them.
10. Updates
We may release updates. Some fix problems, some change how the Software behaves. We are not obliged to keep any particular feature, or to support older versions of Adobe Premiere indefinitely.
11. Ending this agreement
This agreement ends when your subscription ends.
We may end it immediately if you materially breach it, in particular by sharing or redistributing your license. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove it. Edits you have already made to your own projects remain yours; nothing here claws back work you have done.
12. Changes to this agreement
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you before it takes effect, and the version in force is the one published when you purchased or last renewed.
13. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.
14. Contact
